Originally, I thought I would create a playlist of my favourite songs through the years. I figured I would go through my favourite songs (3000+) on Spotify and mark the ones to put in this list. I was going through the songs alphabetically, starting at Z, and after only going through Z-S, I have 80 songs. Plus whatever songs I have written down that might not be in my current liked playlist. So it will be lengthy. Now, at the risk of sounding like Taylor Swift, I will break it up in eras…. Childhood, Grades 5-8, high school, University, Post-University, daughter’s youth, and the recent years. (ooh, that reminds me to add, Mike + The Mechanics’ The Living Years (I sung ‘and the recent years’ with that melody when I typed it…) As you can see, these will be live playlists, will very likely keep adding to them when a song comes pops up in my mind. And keep an eye out for associated posts if songs have specific stories linked to them.
AND….
I will also have a one song per year list. A song that represents something that was happening, or represents who I was at that time.
When I have enough songs and related content, I will be sharing the links to my Spotify playlists! So…
